Make a Frog, Toad or Polliwog Art Workshop #2
The frogs and toads are calling!
Dive into their vibrant world of frogs, toads and polliwogs, with local artist Jessica Turtle in this choose-your-own-adventure art workshop to help create a piece to be displayed as part of an upcoming community art installation . Participants will use colorful visual guides to can choose their favorite amphibian and select art materials that ignite their creativity. With templates and resources available for all ages and skill levels, everyone is welcome to join. Help bring this vision to life and contribute to a collaborative multi-media installation that spotlights the fascinating diversity of our local frogs, toads, polliwogs and their habitat. Your amphibian will be part of an “army” of frogs to be displayed in a travelling exhibition being coordinated by Turtle on the importance of our aquatic ecosystems. Following the end of the installation, your amphibian will be returned to you.
Jessica Turtle is an interdisciplinary artist, educator, and Master Naturalist who founded Treehaus Studio. Her work spans two- and three-dimensional forms with a focus on community engagement, exploring themes such as water as life, symbiotic and queer relationships in nature, and the effects of the Anthropocene. Through her art and teaching, she encourages a deeper understanding of our place within the natural world by valuing curiosity, beauty, and complexity. Jessica recently created the frog sculpture at Moore Lake Park which was installed in 2025 to celebrate the park’s aquatic habitat.

Participants under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Please register each family member that will be creating an amphibian.
