Public Hearing Scheduled for 2-14-2024: Regarding Stormwater Management Grant Requests from Cities of Arden Hills, New Brighton, Fridley, White Bear Township, and Willernie

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Rice Creek Watershed District (District) Board of Managers will hold a public hearing under Minnesota Statutes 103B.251 on the ordering of one or more of the following projects: City of Arden Hills – 2024 PMP Street & Utility Improvements ($94,650), City of Fridley – City of Fridley 2024 Street Rehab Project ($30,000), City of New Brighton – 4th St BW Storm Sewer Improvements ($100,000), White Bear Township – Bellaire Ave Stormwater Pond ($118,000), and City of Willernie – Craig Place Storm Sewer Improvements ($33,150). The District may select all, some or none of the applications for full or partial funding. The District’s total share of cost for selected projects will not exceed $300,000 and would be funded by general tax levy on real property within the watershed.

The public hearing will be held during the District’s regular board meeting on Wednesday, February 14,2024, at 9:00 a.m. in the Shoreview City Council Chambers, 4600 North Victoria Street, Shoreview, Minnesota and also via Zoom. In addition, by a declaration under Minnesota Open Meeting Law Section 13D.021, all meetings of the RCWD Board of Managers are in person and public while recognizing that a Manager may, based on advice from a health care professional, have a legitimate reason for not attending a meeting in a public place in person, such as COVID-19 exposure or infection, and in such circumstances may participate in the meeting remotely.
